Who can use the bladder sensor?

The Bladder Sensor is intended for children (from 6 years of age) and adults (with a BMI lower than 25 kg/m²) who suffer from urinary incontinence. The Bladder Sensor is not suitable for people who suffer exclusively from stress incontinence.

How does the sensor "find" my bladder?

During the initial installation of the app and in the app overview, there is an option to perform a position determination. When this function is activated, the Bladder Sensor searches for your bladder. The position determination can only be performed when the bladder is full. If the sensor does not find a bladder: 1) Check that the Bladder Sensor is positioned low enough — approximately 1 cm above the pubic bone, in line with the navel. 2) Drink enough water and wait approximately 45 minutes until you feel the urge to go to the toilet, so that the bladder is full enough. See the troubleshooting guide for more tips.

Does the sensor prevent my child from using absorbent products?

From user experience, we know that children often still use absorbent products in the beginning as an extra layer of security. Over time, the use of these products will often gradually decrease .

Does my phone always need to be nearby for the sensor to work?

No. You only need the app for the initial setup of the device. After that, the sensor vibrates independently , without needing a connection to the phone. Therefore, a connection to the app is not required for the sensor to function. When the device is out of range of the phone (more than 10 meters) and loses the connection as a result, all data is stored in the sensor . As soon as the device is back within range (less than 1 meter), all data is automatically synchronized and displayed in the app.

How does the urination diary work?

The sensor regularly checks the fill level of your child's bladder using ultrasound. This allows the app to calculate how the fill level changes, and the differences are automatically recorded in the app. Ultrasound is not harmful to the body.

The Bladder Sensor automatically records when urination has occurred and adds this to the urination diary (visible in the app). Please note: urination is only automatically recorded if the sensor has given a notification and the bladder is emptied afterwards. Urinations that are not detected by the sensor (for example, if your child urinates before a notification) can be added manually in the app.

When should I replace the adhesive bandage?

We recommend replacing the adhesive plaster at least once a day during active use. If skin irritation occurs, allow the skin to rest for a few days before applying another adhesive plaster.
